During the summer months there is a local Brocante most Sunday mornings at one of the local villages. This is a perfect way to spend a slow Sunday morning and get to explore some of our beautiful local villages that you may not have visited before. Places to Visit
The Centre-Val de Loire region is primarily known for its many Renaissance Chateaux. Chateau de Meillant is a wonderful example of the many Chateaux in the area and is only a 5 minute drive from us, the castle was started in the Xlth century and has remained in the same family until today.
The abbey was built from 1150 onwards by a small group of monks from Clairvaux. It is a truly remarkable place to visit and during your visit here you will learn its history, admire the architecture and visit the gardens.
The Chateaumeillant wine region is best known for the production of red and rose wines mainly from the Gamay grape variety. With the appellations limited production and established reputation their wines can rarely be found for sale outside of France.
