Bourges Cathedral

Bourges is an enchanting medieval city located here in the center of France, most commonly known for the gothic style Cathedral that dominates the skyline. Once the center of trade during the 15th and 16th century, the old town contains luxurious mansions built for merchants side by side with the top heavy half timbered houses. Bourges is also the place to get to know Jacques Coeur, a merchant who travelled far and wide and worked his way into the court of king Charles Vll. Visiting his home the Palais Jacques-Coeur is a must do during your visit to Bourges.

This is a wonderful city to visit, especially on foot with history to be found around every corner and of course many cafes in the old town to sit and enjoy something to eat and drink.
